Leftover cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache

I made this recipe because I always end up with a lot of trimmings and instead of just eating it, why not make something delicious out of it.

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients (6 persons):

Left over cake or cake trimmings

Peanut butter frosting:
1/2 stick butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar

Ganache:
200ml cream
8 oz bittersweet chocolate chopped

How to prepare:

Peanut butter frosting:


1. Cream peanut butter and butter together.


2. Mix in powdered sugar and mix. Be careful not to overmix.



Ganache:


1. Heat cream then add in the chocolate and mix well.



Assembly:


1. Crumble the leftover chocolate cake.


2. Prepare a 6X4 inch cake pan or any deep casserole.


4. Put a first layer of chocolate cake and press down with a spoon.


5. Pipe a layer of peanut butter frosting then spread a little ganache on top.


6. Repeat for the remaining layers and finish off with peanut butter frosting on top.


7. Pour ganache to cover the top of the cake.



You can add berries, nuts, meringue, etc.
